’24’ Movie to Start Production This Spring
It seems like every year Kiefer Sutherland has teased 24 fans of a feature length film in the works, and Deadline’s most recent post gives us more reason to believe that a movie is imminent (Kiefer would NEVER lie to us!).
The web site reported that writer Mark Bomback — currently writing The Wolverine — will turn in his latest draft by the end of the year. Imagine Entertainment and 20th Century Fox have a list of five directors — Tony Scott is not one of them — and plan to elect one early next year to begin film production next spring, which would match Sutherland’s availability window in April.
Fans of 24 eagerly waiting for Jack Bauer to return can get their Kiefer fix when Tim Kring’s new series Touch debuts on Fox in March. Producer Brian Grazer tweeted his hopes of producing a 24 film for 2012 back in April.
I leave you all with the best song about the America’s hero.
